A look at the surroundings in the map or satellite view often helps.
Especially helpful: Reviews and photos from other travelers.
In South America, we learned that current information such as forest fires is also noted there – this can be very helpful for planning your own route.

iOverlander is not only great for pitches, but also shows tourist attractions, water filling stations and viewpoints.
Especially away from the typical tourist routes, you will find real insider tips for leisure activities during vanlife.
A lot of information comes from other Overlanders, i.e. first-hand.
